My daughter had a bad experience with a previous driving school. I was recommended by a friend to go with Alan Boyce who had a tough job from what I gather ironing out all the bad unsafe driving she had been taught through the previous instructor.
She was due to go to University and needed to pass her test before going, she only had a few months to do this, but with Alan’s patience and understanding he got her through and she passed first time.
She is now in her second year of University and drove me for the first time at the weekend on the M25, I was very happy to sit in the car with her and found her driving very safe.
His clear guidance to her on safety has also been a benefit to her as she has gone with an insurance scheme that recognise safe driving, and her fees have been reduced because of this.
I would not hesitate to to recommend Alan Boyce again, and my daughter tells all her friends about her good experience driving with him.

I felt nervous before starting driving lessons, but Alan soon put me at ease, giving me the confidence to pass my test first time. Alan taught me how to drive and not just how to pass my driving test, meaning I was comfortable driving on my own on any road as soon as I'd passed my test.

Alan Boyce was my final driving instructor after 5 others over a long period of time. Until he was my instructor I was an anxious driver and would soon stop my lesson believing I would never be a driver. I also had some spatial awareness issues.
Alan gave me the confidence to believe I could be a driver and pass my test. He was patient and informative and even used toy cars on the dashboard to help with roundabouts.
I highly recommend him as an instructor as I finally passed my test and am now a confident and spatially aware driver! He managed to do what many had failed before.

Both my girl's had Alan as their instructor.
One passed first time and the other the second time of trying. They both found him imformative, supportive, calm and understanding. They always returned with positive attitudes to their lessons even on difficult days. Often they would come home with funny stories of the lesson and things Alan had said.
Alan always took time explaining in detail a new manoeuvre until he felt they were ready to give it a go for real.
They also had Alan in the car when they took their tests as a moral support even though he couldn't help them out.
I would thoroughly recommend Alan as a potential driving instructor for any person beginning their driving life.

Alan honestly has so much patience, incredibly incredibly good patience as well. Each lesson is never boring because he is such a laugh to be around. Basically an all round fab teacher.

3 years ago my son embarked on driving lessons. Unfortunately he failed the test 3 times. My friend recommend Alan Boyce. Alan took my son out to assess his driving.
He started teaching my son weekly and after a few months with guidance he passed straight away. Alan was brilliant. He assessed where my son needed help and worked through it with him. My son now drives vans and pickups all over the country for his employer.
Next my daughter needed lessons and we went straight to Alan. She progressed very well and within 8 months she passed her test. Alan will only recommend a pupil for a test when he really thinks they are ready.
I have one more child shortly to begin lessons. We will of course be speaking to Alan Boyce.

Alan was recommended to me, he was always reliable and prompt for lessons.
My daughter was anxious about learning to drive and his patience and calm attitude gave her confidence and improved her self esteem.
She passed on her first attempt, but that didn't matter as much as the fact that she drives really well and I know she is a safe and competent driver on the road.
I would highly recommend him.

Alan Boyce taught both my sons to drive and they passed first time, what more do I need to say!
They really enjoyed their lessons and always said how patient he was. He made them feel confident from the very first lesson.
As a parent it was refreshing to know that he would not advise them to take their driving test until he knew they were ready. He was always willing to discuss their progress and give pointers on improvement. He was helpful when it came to the Theory Test and even told us websites that would help.
I cannot recommend him enough.

He has a structured method of teaching through which students can travel at their own pace of learning. This structured approach and his friendly manner, build students confidence and are the fundamental reasons behind his incredible pass rates.

I passsed my drving test with Alan nearly 6 years ago.
Alan was very patient and would always keep positive even if it took a awhile to grasp an aspect of driving.

Alan is a fabulous and friendly driving driving instructor. Not only does he teach you about pot'oles (ha ha), he makes sure that every aspect of your driving is perfect.
After every lesson, I received feedback on what needed improving for the next lesson, which really helped me to focus and feel at ease as I knew what I was doing well on and what I needed to work on.

Alan Boyce is a fantastic driving teacher and has a great understanding and clear knowledge of how to teach, encourage and inject you with confidence!
Before I met Alan I started off with an instructor who was unprofessional and very impatient. I gave up driving for a few weeks and was worried it was going to be hard for me to get back into the swing of things. But things with Alan were different.
I looked forward to my lessons and had a great laugh as well as developing all key skills that led me to passing my test first time!
I also completed my pass plus and learnt all of the required knowledge that set me up to get out on the road alone!
